5/6FA Learning

Mr Anania

In Religion lessons, 5/6 FA students have been learning about developing a prayer routine in their lives. Students explored how prayer develops a stronger relationship with God. 5/6 FA students discussed how using the 5-Finger Prayer Method would be a great and easy way to pray for people in their lives and community. The method involves joining your hands together and using your fingers to think about who you could pray for. The thumb is closest to you so pray for those closest to you. The pointer finger reminds us to pray for those who point us in the right direction. The tallest finger reminds us to pray for our leaders. The next finger is the weakest so we can pray for the sick or elderly. Finally, the pinky reminds us to pray for ourselves.

Below are some comments from 5/6 FA students about their learning in Religion.

Vincent - I appreciate that praying is important in my life.

Natalie - l think the 5-finger Prayer Routine is easy for me to remember.
