SPORT

In Sport the students have been having a great time engaging in Lawn bowls and Tennis lessons. Students have had a great chance to hone in on their speed, aim and accuracy when rolling the bowls with a variety of skills based drills. We have been lucky enough to use the Cil Darra when it has been too hot outside. With a few healthy competitions happening between students.

Our tennis lessons have kicked off again, with the heat giving us a bit of reprieve over the last few weeks. We focused on forehand and backhand practice. It was great to see students in the senior grades getting into some exciting rallies.  Our junior school has been doing a great job learning to control objects, following rules in games and practicing different object manipulation techniques.

Great work all round Sporty Paddys.

STEM

This week is National eSmart week which is a week-long event that celebrates all the incredible work that schools and libraries across the country are doing to promote positive digital citizenship.

eSmart is an initiative of the Alannah and Madeline Foundation that aims to create a culture of smart, safe, and responsible use of technology.

To recognise this, the Junior students enjoyed a game of Snakes and Ladders using the Bee Bots whilst learning about how to keep safe when using technology.

The Senior students worked towards getting an eSmart Digital Licence+ using an online platform designed to teach students about technology safety. This week they worked through the module - Kindness Counters Harmful Behaviour.

ITALIAN

Buon Giorno a tutti!

Over the last 2 weeks, students in GrADE 3-6 participated in some traditional Italian dance.  "The Tarantella"  is a lively dance with very distinct music and everyone loved joining in and experiencing some Italian music!

Students also listened to Dean Martin's, "That's Amore" as well as "Che la luna" by Louis Prima.

Students in Gr F-2 will join in next week with some dancing and music.
