Collecting data for school improvements

For the last few weeks in JT and MR we have been collecting data and creating graphs around schoolyard improvements. In small groups, students created surveys about their chosen topic choice. Some topics included improving the running track, a seniors’ breakout space, why certain bubblers are used more than others, and what locations would be good for shade sails. Students then analysed their data and made choices about how to present it in a manner that was favourable to their cause. The good news is that there are now plenty of ideas for our next schoolyard project. Which one is your favourite?
