ALL WELCOME – WORSHIP AT ST PAUL

Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday morning for worship. Worship times are 8:30am for a Traditional Service and 10:00am for a more Contemporary service with Godly Play on offer for primary school aged children. Tea and Coffee and a time of gathering is held most weeks after both worship services. On the first Sunday of the month, we join together in one service, with a blended style of worship.

PLAYGROUP @ ST PAUL

Playgroup @ St Paul is on each Tuesday during term time in the Hall for children aged 0-5 and a parent/caregiver.  Playgroup runs from 9:00-10:30am, but we welcome people anytime from 8:30am onwards to help set up. Join us for a coffee, playtime, story time and songs from 9:00-10:30am each week during school terms. Cost is $2 per family.

This week, we looked at all sorts of construction vehicles, from bulldozers to front end loaders, excavators to cement trucks – always a very popular theme!

Next week, for what I believe is a playgroup first, we will be looking at axolotols, with the book ‘No one really knows an… Axolotol’ by Laura Sieveking.

For more information about anything playgroup related contact Kylie Koelman in the Church Office on 8262 4690 or email at office@stpaul-church.org.au

GROWING FAITH AT HOME

This resource is developed by the Lutheran Church of Australia and is intended to be a guide in sharing faith activities with members of your family.

Here are a few ways you could introduce faith discussions in your home and day-to-day life.

This week the Bible reading is where Jesus predicts his death on the cross.  Jesus likens his death to that of a grain of wheat.  If a grain of wheat dies, it produces many seeds, which in turn can grow and live.  When Jesus dies on the cross, he guaranteed that anyone who loves him can grow in him and ultimately live with him forever in Heaven.  Jesus could have said no to death on the cross, but he chose to die so that we could ultimately live.

“I tell you for certain that a grain of wheat that falls on the ground will never be more than one grain unless it dies. But if it dies, it will produce lots of wheat.”

(John 12:24)

Mealtime Prayer:

You feed the hungry with grains of wheat.  Thank you, Lord, for this food to eat. Amen.

Prayer:

Jesus our Saviour, please draw us close to you.  Amen.

Blessing:

(Child’s name) May Jesus draw you to himself.  May his death cover your

sins, and his resurrection fill you with new life.  Amen.
