Project Firestorm Showcase

This term, Stage 3 students have been learning about the management of bushfires in geography. Our OC students have been working on Project Firestorm - a project following the steps of design thinking that guide the students in developing solutions for a real-world problem. 

Students' interest was sparked with a visit from our local firefighters from Willoughby (including an ex-teacher, Mr Doyle!) who shared their knowledge on fires and issues they face with their work. The students then decided on a problem to solve and designed unique solutions to these problems. Solutions ranged from education programs in bushfire-prone communities to firefighting drones!

Projects were presented on Tuesday in a showcase where parents were invited to view the designs and provide feedback. Well done to all Solar students for their teamwork and efforts this term!

Year 6 Bake Sale

The Year 6 Bake Sale was a great success. We would like to say a huge thank you to the CPS community for all of your support during this week’s Bake Sale. This event could not have happened without all the amazing Year 6 teachers, students and their families who helped bake and prepare delicious treats. We appreciate every student who came along to buy something from the sale. 

InitiaLit Parent Information Session

K-2 Shortened Student Logins

During the winter school holidays, the usernames of students in Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 will be set to the department’s new shortened format (student initials and the last four digits of their student reference number, such as JS1234 for example). Your child’s teacher will be able to print off a login credentials card if you need it in Term 3.
