On Thursday, June 5th, Wheelers Hill Primary School was alive with colour and excitement during our "Time to Shine" Spec Dress-Up Day. Students and staff dazzled in their brightest, most sparkly and shiny outfits, transforming the school into a vibrant celebration of school spirit and support for the Victorian State School Spectacular team.

My name is Eshreet, and as one of the Year 6 choir captains, and part of the Victorian state school spectacular team, I witnessed firsthand all of the enthusiasm and unity that this event sparked across the school. The day was filled with laughter, creativity and I saw some amazing outfits put together. I wore a neon red top with dark jeans and a shiny golden hat.

We started the day off by collecting all the donations from different classes. Near the start of lunchtime, we invited Prep to Year 2 students down to the gym. Watching the little one’s dance to "Abracadabra" by Lady Gaga led by the amazing Mrs Roughton was something you couldn’t do without smiling. Their enthusiasm and energy was infectious, and it was so much fun to teach them the dance moves while letting them add their own unique flair.

As the half-bell rang, the gym doors swung open to welcome the Year 3 to 6 students for their dance session. Their spark was electric as everyone gathered, ready to dance and celebrate together. The older kids paid more intention to the moves but also totally crushed making their own.

It was incredible to see students of all ages coming together, sharing laughs, and creating memories. Emma, my co choir captain and I had tons of fun patrolling the students and looking at all their amazing dancing.

The day was incredibly enjoyable, showing off the great spirit of our school community.

From the littlest Preps to the senior Year 6s, everyone got involved with enthusiasm and joy. Not only did we raise $665 for the Victorian State School Spectacular team, but we also had tons of fun.

A huge thank you to all students, staff, and families for making the "Time to Shine" Spec

Dress-Up Day an incredible day. Your support and participation truly made the day sparkle!
