We are anticipating NAPLAN results for years 3 and 5 this year will be available in the first week back of Term 3. Individual Students Reports will be sent home with students as well as information explaining the results. As NAPLAN is now conducted in Term 1, results are now available much earlier than in the past.
Semester 1 student reports will be made available on the last day of term, Friday 4th July. Reports can be accessed via Compass. A note will be sent out on the day explaining how to access them.
On the latest curriculum day, several new play areas were marked out on the asphalt around the oval, including some four square courts, mini soccer pitches, a Hot Shots tennis court, and a chessboard. These new spaces will give our students more options for play and games during recess and lunchtime, and will also be used to support our Physical Education program.
We are pleased to announce our next SRC fundraiser that will be Thursday
26th June. The SRC representatives have decided to fundraise for the
RSPCA to continue their work with helping animals.
For this fundraiser, students will have the opportunity to join in an animal
scavenger hunt. Students will be allowed to come to school in a pair of fun,
silly socks as well as bringing along a gold coin donation. All funds will be
directly donated to the RSPCA. We are all looking forward to this exciting fundraiser.
As we move into winter, viral infections such as respiratory illnesses, flu, COVID-19, and gastroenteritis (to name a few) are circulating within our community. Please remember to keep your child home if they are unwell, so they can rest and recover before returning to school. This helps prevent illness from spreading to other students and staff. If symptoms continue or your child is very unwell, please contact your GP.
If your child experiences vomiting and/or diarrhoea, they should remain at home for 48 hours after symptoms have stopped. If symptoms continue, please consult your GP. For COVID-19, respiratory infections, or the flu, please follow your GP’s advice regarding the length of time your child should stay home to recover.
If the sickbay calls to ask you to pick up your child, please try to do so promptly. This helps reduce the spread of illness and supports your child’s quicker recovery.
We also ask that you encourage your children to practise good hygiene, including washing hands after using the toilet, before eating, and covering their nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing.
Thank you for your support in keeping our school community healthy.
Parents and carers are responsible for any medical expenses that arise if their child is injured or requires medical treatment while at school or during a school-related activity. This includes the cost of ambulance transport, which may involve an air ambulance if considered necessary. In the event of a medical emergency, school staff may call an ambulance immediately based on the situation. Depending on the urgency, parents or carers may not be contacted until after the ambulance has been called. The principal will use their professional judgment to determine the appropriate action in cases of student accidents or sudden illness. It is strongly recommended that families have up-to-date ambulance cover and medical insurance.
Please be aware of another upcoming curriculum days in Term 2. Students are not required at school on this day.
Friday 27th June - Planning Day for Term 3

Term 2 ends on Friday 4th July at 2:30pm. Please note the earlier finish time.
