1/2 Classroom News

We have had another fantastic two weeks in Grade 1/2. 

Writing: 

In writing we have been learning about Poems. Students have created many different poems. This week students created acrostic poems and published them on the iPads. 

Maths: 

We have been exploring multiplication by creating arrays. Students learnt that arrays have equal rows and columns and help us to solve multiplication problems. They used various materials in the classroom to construct arrays. 

Inquiry: 

Students constructed their own bubble wands using pipe cleaners. They were then put to the challenge to use it to make bubbles! They were all very impressed with the bubbles they were able to create. 

Aged Care: 

For our visit to the Aged Care this week Grade 2 students took over the iPads to show the residents how and what we use technology for in our classroom. The residents were amazed by the iPads!
