Phonic Awareness

Along with practising our letter recognition and learning the sounds that each letter can make, we have been focussing on rhyme.  We have been learning to detect rhyme, particularly in stories, then trying to come up with words that rhyme with a given word.  This is an important development stage for 5 - 6 year olds.  The children have been doing a great job of detecting rhyme and we will continue to practise finding words that rhyme.

Basketball Clinic

I think we may have some future basketball stars!  The Foundation students have had so much fun learning basketball skills with Coach Macca!! Here's some pics of us in action!

Coming event.....

100 days of School!

The Foundation students will be celebrating their first 100 days of school on Wednesday July 23rd.  Students will have a fun packed day of activities to mark the special occassion.  Students may dress up as old men and ladies if they wish.... so get those costumes ready :-)
