EHS House News!
Term 2 has been a huge success for the School Houses, despite the wet weather and cancellation of the Athletics Carnival. It is great to see students and staff continuing to build the team spirit and culture both inside and outside the classroom.
What an incredible turn out for the EHS Cross Country at the end of Term 1. The sun was beaming on the superstar runners who competed in the run. Kirkham Oval was full of colour, with a huge amount of students representing their House in their outfits, and competing in the Colour Run at the end of the Day. Well done Bluetongue who were the best dressed House Captains and the Tug-O-War champions of 2025! A special mention to Vincent R in Year 11 who took home the best dressed award for this Carnival.
Well done to the incredible Razorback who took home the Cross-Country Trophy once again! Three years in a Row!
Congratulations to the Merino House who took home the most points for Term 1.
I am super proud of the team coming together during Roll Call and our Thrive lessons to plan, and seek to build a positive House Culture in the school. In doing so, captains are taking initiative to drive great ideas and build collaborative relationships amongst themselves and others. Well done to Mason who worked tirelessly to support such competition with his own promotional video.
WHOOP WHOOP! House Games were a success once again! Congratulations to all the awesome students for participating in Oz Tag in Weeks 5 and 6. We had over 80+ students participate across both weeks, both in the Junior and Senior Teams. Incredible effort by Lyrebird who dominated in participation in the Junior comp, taking home the win against Kookaburra. The Senior Final was close, ending with Bluetongue scoring in the last few minutes to take home 50 House Points against their opponent, Razorback. Great effort by the Teacher team who played both weeks, dominating against the House Captains. House Games will continue again in Week 10 with Volleyball.
A fantastic effort and congratulations to all the students who have received recognition for their hard work, effort and respectful behaviour - in whom, have been recognised across the term. Such recognitions will continue to occur - with certificates and prizes for those students topping the tally board for their House and Year Group.
