First Nations Education

We proudly celebrated Reconciliation Week 2025, beginning with a THRIVE lesson that explored the meaning and importance of the week, setting the foundation for rich discussion and reflection. Guided by the theme "Bridging Now to Next," students engaged in a variety of meaningful activities including scratch pen art, key ring colouring, chalk symbol drawings, bark and leaf painting. It was a successful week of learning, creativity, and connection as we continue to walk together toward a more united future.
As part of our Reconciliation Week celebrations, we were honoured to welcome visiting artist Michael Fardon, who worked with our students to create a collaborative mural inspired by this year’s theme: "Bridging Now to Next."
Students had a fantastic time contributing their reconciliation messages and artwork on symbolic leaves, which were added to the mural — a powerful visual representation of connection, growth, and our shared journey forward.
Thank you to Michael and all the students who took part in this meaningful experience!
