Dear Parents,
Our Stage 3 children are currently at Stanwell Tops having a tremendous time. I know the children are thoroughly enjoying themselves and making lots of memories. It’s been wonderful to watch them grow and give new things a go this week. A highlight has been the support the children have offered one another. This has been lovely and humbling to watch. The excursion should be home between 5.45pm and 6.15pm on Friday evening. The buses will arrive in the Rocket Street Bus Bay and parents are asked to collect bags as they are taken off the bus. Children can then be picked up from their classrooms after names have been marked off the roll. To take 107 children away to camp is no easy feat! A heartfelt thanks to the staff that attended camp. They have been absolutely incredible. Their support and encouragement of every child has been outstanding. Thank you, Mr Datt and Ms Reedy, for the countless hours spent preparing, writing the plans and getting everything organised. Thank you, Mrs Calder, Ms Lloyd, Ms Barber, Mrs Culham, Ms Hall, Mr Summerson, Mrs Sarah White and Ms Casey, on giving up your own time and your incredible work. To witness the wonderful way in which our staff go above and beyond every day to ensure our children succeed makes me so proud. Again, thank you all.
We have had Haylee Taylor visit our school today to run an art workshop with our Stage 2 and 3 Aboriginal children. The children had a terrific time showing off some wonderful skills. Thank you, Haylee, for spending time with us today, and thank you, Mrs George, for coordinating this activity.
Our P&C have worked really hard putting together an amazing School Concert Raffle with approximately 20 prizes. Next week, the P&C will send home 10 raffle tickets with each student.
