Principals' Report

Dear Parents and Carers,
On Tuesday this week we had a visit from the Acting Principal of Kilbreda - Ms Stephanie Smyth, I would like to thank her for taking the time to visit us and to share insights about secondary schooling with our Year 5 girls. We also had the pleasure of two of our past St. Patrick's Students visiting us - Julianna B and Alexis Q who shared their experiences of Kilbreda with the Year 5 girls.
It was a very informative session for our students as they begin to think about their Secondary Education.

St. Kilda Visit
This week we had a special visit from the St. Kilda Football club. We had both the AFL and AFLW players onsite and they conducted a footy clinic for our Year 3 & 4 students. Special thanks to Mr Speranza for coordinating this exciting event for our students.

Grandparents Morning and Mass
On Tuesday 29th July we will be holding our annual Grandparents Day Mass and classroom visits. We have changed the format based on feedback from last year so we will be trialling a later start to ease the pressure of arriving early and being too rushed to visit classrooms.
10:00am - 11:00am - Grandparents to visit classrooms to see the students in action.
11:00am - 11:50am - Morning Tea in the hall for Grandparents
(Featuring a presentation from the Senior and Junior school choirs)
12:00pm - 1:00pm - Whole School Grandparents Day Mass in the Church
Playground works
We are steadily progressing with our preparation for the Junior Playground installation scheduled for either the upcoming holidays or the first few weeks of Term 3. You may have noticed the demolition of the old chook shed has happened, with tidying up works to be completed in the coming weeks in preparation for this exciting capital development project.
Smart Watches at School
We kindly remind families that smart watches are not permitted at school. These devices can be a distraction to learning and may pose privacy concerns. If a student is wearing a smart watch, they will be asked to remove it and store it in their bag for the duration of the school day. We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a focused and respectful learning environment for all students.
Out of Hours Care - Important information
Please note that MACSEYE will be taking over our 'out of hours care' arrangements as of the first day of Term 3. Please ensure you have enrolled with MACSEYE to be able to use their services.
