GS Warriors

The GS Warriors faced Pedare Lightning for their last regular season game prior to finals commencing the following week and the team were determined to try and finish with a win leading into the semifinal.

With 5 of our 7 players competing in the SACSA soccer carnival the same day the team were a bit sluggish and found ourselves trailing the lightning the entire game but hard work, commitment, teamwork and never giving up, set up an epic finally to the game.

With just one minute remaining on the clock the Warriors were 3 points behind and were able to score a basket to narrow the gap to one point before immediately stealing the ball back again and scoring one more time to snatch a 1 point win!

Nate 10, Eden 4, Shayla, Tennyson & Charlie 2 and Flynn 1.

GS Raptors

Congratulations to the GS Raptors! The team showed strong commitment, great teamwork, and consistent effort throughout the term. Receiving their trophies was a well-earned moment of celebration, and we’re proud of how they represented Good Shepherd with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Well done, Raptors!

GS Bandicoots

Our season came to an end last Friday, and for the majority of the team, this was their first time playing competitive soccer.

The season was one of much improvement from all players involved. To put that into some context, in the first few games of the season, we had some heavy losses on the scoreboard.

Those same teams we would play again, and we gradually started to reduce those margins and in the back half of the season, had our fair share of wins.

The boys learnt how to defend first which allowed us to stop the opposition from scoring, and then we started getting better at controlling the ball moving forward allowing us to score.

Thank you for all the parents that came out and helped support during the season. I am positive all the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves which is what its all about!

Thanks,

Kane
