Principal Message
Dear Families,
Congratulations: Term 2 is nearly complete, and I sincerely congratulate all students, staff, and families for navigating the learning, outside school activities, illnesses, and everything else! Please rest up over the holidays and enjoy a break to be ready for a fast and furious Term 3 of 9 weeks.
Year 1 relocation: 3 of the Year 1 classes have been relocated this week to enable roof replacement to occur. This is a full week ahead of schedule which is great. IJE is now in the Indonesian room (Portables near the 5/6 area), 1MM is in the library and 1GL is in the OSH room, adjacent to the library. 1LP is still in their original room. ALL Year 1’s will meet on the basketball court upon arrival at school and will be dismissed from there too. Thanks for assisting us and adapting to these changes.
Front entrance: Apologies for the inconvenience with access to the main admin building and entrance to the school. A few delays have held up this part of the school being enhanced. The concrete was poured today, should be exposed tomorrow and hopefully open Friday!
Playground: The dismantling of the red playground begun over the weekend and is now cordoned off until further notice. There will be significant works occurring down in the playground over the holidays as a result of the tremendous fundraising earlier in the year at the Apple Fair. We hope that the new playground will be installed and ready to go for Term 3. Please avoid the playground these holidays to let the team complete the works safely.
Parent Teacher Interviews: Thanks to families for attending the PTI’s recently and learning more about where your child is at with their learning. We talk about school being a partnership and hope you are able to identify the successes your child is having and their next step in learning. Thanks to staff for their dedication and time that has gone into preparing and managing the meetings.
Prep 2026: Please don’t forget to submit the enrolment forms etc for a 2026 Prep student! Sometimes we may forget a sibling is required to have documentation too! We will be turning our head soon, to start planning for 2026 classes and having as much information to inform our decisions is crucial. Thanks to families who have already submitted forms. We will be confirming Prep enrolments early next term.
School Saving Bonus (SSB) and Family Statements: The School Savings Bonus (SSB) has now been allocated, unless it was left for uniform and when the Department of Education does their journals to allocate in July/August, we’ll be able to fully allocate that as well. Statements for parents with credits or amounts owing are being sent out currently. Sentral will be adjusted early next term to reflect what is being show in our finance system. If you need any financial assistance in regard to your child’s charges, please contact the office. Thanks again for your patience.
Friday dismissal @ 2.30pm: Friday is the last day of term. Classes will be dismissed from their classrooms at 2.30pm. No assembly.
