Vocational Major

Stretton Park

Last week three of the year 12 Vocational Major students went (Alex, Luke, and Noah) went to Stretton Park Nursing Home for a group community project. On day one (23/06/25) we walked down to the nursing home so we can go for a morning walk with the elderly where they walked around the block which was good because they were able to take more people in the wheel chairs. After the walk we went to the tea room for 10 minutes to talk with them and figure out what we were going to do for the next 2 days.

On Tuesday (24/06/25) Alex and Luke weren’t present so Noah and Fi went down without them while they were there they went for a walk once they were back to the homes they stayed again for a little while talking to some of the residents.

On day three (Wednesday the 25/06/25) we were all present again and went down together, when we arrived we were prepared to do what was done the few days before which was help round up the residents that wanted to go for a walk but the lifestyle coordinator wasn’t around. This meant that we couldn’t go for the walk, so instead we decided to walk around and have a bit of a tour of the place. After out tour we went to the lounge where we talked to the residents about their days before being in the home then we came back to the school.
