As per the recent COMPASS entry - the school canteen is now only operating on a Monday and Friday. Debbie, our canteen supervisor, has monitored the number of lunch orders this term every Wednesday and there are not enough orders to make it profitable. Please make sure you send some snacks and lunch with your child every Wednesday. Not that it is good weather for icy poles, but we will sell them every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during Term 3.
If you child is away from school on a particular day and was booked in to go to After School Care, please contact Camp Australia before 3.30pm and let them know. Sometimes they are waiting for students to appear and then trying to locate them before activities can begin. It would be great if all parents could do this.
Recently we have been discussing home reading (and how parents were having difficulty getting their child to read). Here are some tips that could possibly help!
Thank you to all the staff and parents who participated in the Term 2 interviews. Positive home-to-school partnerships are essential for the educational and well-being success of our children.
Parental engagement is also essential in developing positive attitudes towards learning and education for children, building their motivation and confidence as learners, and fostering their enjoyment of learning so, we thank you and hope our teachers provided valuable insights into how your child is achieving at school.
Friday 4th July is the last day of Term 2. Students will be dismissed at 2.30pm. Please contact Camp Australia if you need supervision for your child.
If you are heading away on a family holiday, I hope it is somewhere nice and warm! Wherever you are going, or even if you are staying at home, enjoy the family time together.
School Returns on Monday21st July at 9am.
Have a great holiday everyone
Jenny
