Hands on Learning

This term in Hands on Learning we’ve been working in both the kitchen and the garden.
Thank you to the grade 5’s, 4’s and 3’s for supporting our Muffin Day fundraisers. The HoL team have worked incredibly well to bake over 100 muffins in the first 2 sessions of the day, ready to serve to students at 11am. Funds raised will go towards the HoL program, as well as other school programs and projects. Grade 1 and 2 will have their muffin day next term, while foundation and grade 6 will be in term 4.
Staff have enjoyed morning tea every second Tuesday consisting of slices, yogurt cups, muffins and soup and scones. Thank you for your donations staff. Soup and scones for the last week of term, then we look forward to creating more delicious snacks for you next term.
In the garden, we’ve been planting vegetables, painting a buddy bench and exploring and observing the new habitat garden and seating area which has become a home to blue wrens and lots of insects. And the best thing in the garden…it rained! The tank is full and the plants are looking refreshed after a beautiful soaking of rain.
