Congratulations - Yr Six Confirmation Candidates

Congratulations to all our Year Six students on receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation last Friday and to you, their families who continue to nurture and guide them on their faith and life journey!

Our Parish community was inspired by the words and leadership of Bishop Thinh on Wednesday before Confirmation and again at the celebration of the Sacrament. His words resonated with the students particularly in his homily when he reminded us of three important truths:

  • We are chosen - each of us is called by name and loved by God.
  • We are not alone - the Holy Spirit walks with us, and we are supported by our community of faith.
  • We have a mission - to use our gifts in service to others and to live out the message of Jesus in our daily lives.

We thank Fr Vinh and Fr Geo, for having a visible presence in our school during the final preparations and for assisting the Bishop in celebrating the sacrament.

We wish our Year Six families all the best in the years ahead, helping their child to learn to lean on their faith often and to go into the world ready to be the hands and feet of Jesus!

A special thank you to our Year Six teachers - Hollie Goad and Shane Thompson for all their hard work in preparing the students throughout the year. Another thank you too, to the rest of our dedicated staff who took time out to attend, assist and support the school in this beautiful celebration.
