Good morning, Parents/Carers,

Welcome back

It was great to welcome back everyone for 2026 especially our newest students in kindergarten and their families.  All students were quick to settle in and engage in their learning.

Permission Notes and Information

As Term 1 gets underway there are a number of permission notes and information that will be sent home today.  Those notes that are on blue paper require a signature and to be returned by the due date and those notes on white paper are for your information only.

Captain Inductions

Our School Captain Inductions were held this morning in the school hall.  Thank you to all parents and families who came to witness our school leaders receive their badges and show their commitment to being exceptional leaders in 2026.

Annual Swimming Carnival

Our Annual Swimming Carnival will be held this Thursday, 5th February.  All students turning 8yrs and older are eligible to compete for a spot in the Zone team.  Permission notes were sent home on Monday for those students eligible to participate.  Please ensure notes are returned by tomorrow, to ensure your child is placed in their events.  This event will start at 10:00am and we encourage our families to come and support our swimmers.

Opportunity Class Yr 5 and Selective High School Applications 

If you wish to apply for an Opportunity Class or Selective High School in 2027, Applications are now open.  The Application period is from Thursday 6 November 2025 to Friday 20 February 2026.  For more information, please go to the Education Department's Website: education.nsw.gov.au

Friday, 1st May testing will be.

Colour Run

We will be holding a Colour Run on Friday, 13th March.  Information will be sent home today with fundraising opening on Monday, 9th February. 

P&C AGM

The P&C AGM will be held next Monday 9th at WCSC at 5:30pm in the Engine Room.  All positions are declared vacant.  All welcome to attend and new members are welcome.

White Cross Dental

White Cross Dental will again be visiting our school on Wednesday, 18th February.  Forms to participate in this program will be sent home today.

Quirindi Zone Swimming Carnival

The Quirindi Zone Swimming Carnival will be held on Tuesday, 24th February at Quirindi Aquatic Centre.  A back up date Wednesday, 25th February is in place if required.
