1/2SK's Bright Start !

We’ve had a wonderful start to the school year! The children have loved learning new names, getting to know each other, and settling into our new classroom routines. We revisited our whole-school behaviour code to help everyone feel safe, happy, and ready to learn.

The children enjoyed sharing stories about their school holidays. They wrote a holiday recount and loved talking about the fun things they did during the break. 

We read Our Classroom Family and discussed the similarities between our own families and our classroom. Together, we made promises about how we will care for and look after one another. In our classroom family, we belong, we grow and learn together!

The children spent time reflecting on themselves. They explored describing words and thoughtfully chose the ones they felt described them best.

We met our new Grade 3/4 buddies and the children enjoyed spending time together over lunch and fun “get to know you” games. It’s been lovely to see new friendships begin to form.

We are looking forward to a wonderful year ahead, full of learning, laughter, and exciting experiences together!
