Whole School Timetable change

In 2026, a number of adjustments have been made to our whole-school timetable to further support student learning, wellbeing and consistency across the school day. These changes are necessary to ensure that we are meeting the MACS guidelines for teaching all curriculum outcomes whilst still meeting the CEMEA (Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement) around the scheduled teaching & supervision times.

In 2026, both recess and lunch time will now be 30 minutes. This move supports their overall wellbeing by ensuring they have adequate and consistent time to play, move and socialise throughout the day. Evenly timed break periods allow students to reset, build friendships and engage in active play without either feeling rushed or that play time is going for too long. This balanced approach helps students return to the classroom more settled, focused and ready to learn.

Whole-school prayer will now take place only on Friday morning from 8:50am to 9:00am, with each teacher conducting classroom prayer on Monday to Thursday. In 2026 we will be introducing a whole school assembly each Mondays from 2:30pm to 3:00pm. This assembly will provide time for our school to celebrate learning, recognise student achievements and explicitly focus on our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) value for the week ahead. 8.20am ~ All school gates are unlocked and students (and families) may enter the school

8.30 am ~ Learning Spaces are open for students (and families) to enter

8.50 am ~ Roll & Morning Prayer (Whole school gathering on Friday)                  

9.00 am ~ 1st & 2nd Learning & Teaching Sessions  

11.00 am ~ Eating time (5 mins) in Learning Spaces (food not to be taken outside)

11.05 am ~ 11.35am  ~ Recess 

11.35 am~ Lining up, preparing for learning 

11.40 am  ~ 3rd & 4th Learning & Teaching Session  

1.40 pm ~ Eating time (10 mins) in Learning Spaces (food not to be taken outside)

1.50 pm ~ 2.20pm  ~ Lunch

2.20 pm~ Lining up, preparing for learning 

2.25 pm ~ 5th Learning and Teaching session 

3.30 pm ~ Dismissal & End of day supervision

3.45 pm ~ Any student remaining is brought into the school foyer by yard duty staff.
