2026 Swimming Carnival
Our 2026 Swimming Carnival, held yesterday at Scully Pool was a fantastic day, supported by our wonderful school community. It was awesome to see everyone jumping in and having a go, especially those students competing in their very first race! Our House Captains did a stellar job keeping the energy high and making sure everyone felt a part of the team. Huge congrats to the 17 superfish who qualified for the Diocesan Carnival in Inverell on Friday, 27th February. Finally, a massive thanks to our amazing parent volunteers who gave up their time to ensure the smooth success of the day - we really appreciate you!

2026 Sport Nomination - Girls Rugby League, Golf, AFL, Rugby 7's, Softball and Diving
Girls' Rugby League, Golf, AFL, Rugby 7's, Softball and Diving do not have trial dates for the Armidale Diocese due to the lack of numbers. Students must display exceptional skills in the chosen sport prior to applying. CLICK HERE TO APPLY
St Edward's Netball
St Edward’s Netball Registrations are now OPEN
For all children wishing to play netball, who are turning 5,6,7,8 in 2026, use this link
For all children wishing to play netball, who are turning 9 and 10 in 2026, use this link
For all children wishing to play netball, who are turning 11 and 12 (or 10 years playing in the 11/12 comp /year 5 but are only turning 10) in 2026, use this link
All new netball uniforms can be found on the Compass app in the Canteen Uniform menu. We will have uniforms available at the first Friday afternoon training session to look at and purchase.
Training is decided by individual coaches. Training will be held at St Edward’s Primary School straight after school. Infants’ children can catch the bus to the Primary.
Games will start in early May.
Registrations will close Saturday, 28th February.
All games are played inside, or on the outside courts at the Tamworth Sports Dome.
Games for children aged 10 and under are usually played at 12pm.*
Games for children aged 11 and over are usually played at 1pm.*
*Times are subject to change. Draws will be available on the Tamworth Netball Association Facebook page or on the NetballHQ app.

St Edward’s is looking for a few more students to fill our final team spots for the upcoming Semester 1 Primary School Competition. We are specifically looking for:
Year 5 & 6: Boys and Girls
Year 3 & 4: Girls
This is a fantastic way for the kids to stay active, learn teamwork, and represent St Edward's on the court!
Competition Details:
Dates: Thursday, 26th February – Thursday, 25th June (13 rounds + Grand Finals)
Total Cost: Approx. $300 per player (Includes Semester 1 Junior Comp and Registration fees).

2026 - Term 2 - 10-week program
We have players who want to play going forward and coaches who would like to continue coaching.
This is open to all schools in and around the Tamworth area, again, no previous experience is necessary.
All participation will require Individual registrations via Rugby Xplorer, but until registrations are open, please in the meantime express your individual or team nominations by the link below.
Cost: $80 per male participant and $50 per female participant

The Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council is a body representative of the Catholic Education Office, Principals and Sports Coordinators from all Diocesan Primary Schools. The ADPSC offers a pathway for Armidale Diocesan students in most sports.
