Science

Living Things!
This term, students will be learning about animals and how their body features help them survive in their environment. Children will explore how animals use different features to help them breathe, move, find food, drink water, and stay safe.
Students will observe animals in their local environment and learn that, while animals may look very different, all living things have the same basic needs to survive. They will use simple scientific diagrams, tables, and pictures to show what they have learned and to sort and compare animal features.
Through these activities, students will build an understanding of how animals are perfectly suited to the environments they live in and develop an appreciation for the living world around them.
