Wakwakurna Kids 2026

which means 'children' in Kaurna

Our classes will soon begin organising their Wakwakurna  council representatives. This council provides an important platform for student voice, acting as a link between staff and students across the school. Each class will select representatives who work collaboratively to share suggestions, raise concerns, and contribute ideas on behalf of their classmates.

Student Council representatives will meet regularly with the school leadership team, providing valuable insight into student perspectives and helping to shape school initiatives and activities. Through this role, students gain experience in leadership, decision-making, and teamwork, while building strong communication skills.

We are committed to ensuring every student has the opportunity to be heard and to participate actively in their school community. The Student Council plays a key role in making sure all voices are acknowledged, and their contributions help us to continually improve our learning environment.

We look forward to working with our Student Council throughout 2026 and encourage all students to share their ideas with their representatives. Together, we can make Modbury School a place where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered!
