Highton Primary School: Open Classroom Sessions (Years 1–6)
When: Wednesday, 18th February 2026
Time: 3:25 PM – 4:25 PM
We invite parents and caregivers of students in Years 1 through 6 to attend our upcoming Open Classroom sessions. These sessions are designed to provide a transparent view of the learning environment and foster a collaborative approach to your child's education.
Objectives of the Session:
- Environmental Insight: Observe the classroom infrastructure, daily routines, and pedagogical setup firsthand.
- Curriculum Alignment: Gain a clear understanding of the Classroom Agreements that underpin our positive learning culture.
- Professional Connection: Establish a direct rapport with the educators responsible for your child’s academic and social development.
Each session will last approximately ten minutes, followed by the option to visit your child's siblings' classrooms. Your participation in these sessions demonstrates your valuable support and involvement in your child's education.
Active parental involvement is a primary indicator of student success. By establishing a shared language and consistent expectations between home and school, we empower our students to achieve their full potential.
Individual Consultations:Please note that these sessions are intended for general classroom overviews. If you wish to discuss your child's individual needs or have specific questions beyond the scope of the Open Classroom sessions, please feel free to contact the relevant classroom teacher via email to schedule a dedicated appointment.
