School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports

Welcome to the new school year!

At Wonga Park P.S., we use School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) to help create a safe, predictable and positive learning environment for all students. SWPBS focuses on clearly teaching and reinforcing shared expectations for behaviour so children know what it looks like to Be Kind, Be Safe and Be a Learner. Through our Wellbeing curriculum, we regularly introduce and revisit these expectations, helping students build social skills, self-regulation and positive relationships.

This year we have also introduced consistent school-wide routines, ensuring expectations are the same across classrooms, outdoor and specialist areas. This consistency reduces confusion and supports students, staff and relief teachers, creating a calm and supportive school environment where everyone can thrive.

If you would like further information or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher.

School Matrix of Expectations

Our SWPBS matrix comes in 3 versions to support the learning styles of all our students from Prep to Grade 6.
