Parents & Friends Club

The EHPS Parents & Friends Club (PFC) is a vital and essential group within our school community, organising social and fundraising events across the school year for the benefit of our students and community.
Thanks for your engagement with our cuppa and chat this morning, Friday 20 February. It was great to be able to chat over a free coffee or hot chocolate in the delightful sunshine about the PFC, what we do, and how you can get involved. It was encouraging to receive responses from current and new families about getting involved and keeping the PFC viable and vital.
Next Friday, we are hosting the Welcome Event at school from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. We are looking forward to sharing a lovely evening together on The Heights. Please refer to details on the Welcome Event page in this newsletter for more details, and please RSVP (this is important to let our vendors know how many people are expected).
The EHPS Parents & Friends Club Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 3 March 2026 at 7:30pm in the EHPS Staff Room. All members of the EHPS community are invited and encouraged to attend. At the AGM the election of the PFC Committee for the next twelve months will occur. The roles to be filled are:
| PFC Executive/Office Bearers | |
| President | If you enjoy bringing people together and helping ideas turn into action, this role might be for you. The president leads the PFC, chairs meetings, and acts as the primary liaison between the PFC, School Principal, administration, and the community. They help guide the PFC’s goals and delegate tasks to ensure the committee and its events run smoothly. A good communicator and organised! You don’t need to have all the answers, just a willingness to coordinate, communicate, and support others. Key tasks: Set clear objectives, managing communications through newsletters & WhatsApp groups, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring productive meetings. |
| Secretary | Perfect for someone who likes a bit of structure. The Secretary helps keep the group organised by preparing agendas, taking notes at meetings, and sharing updates so everyone stays informed. Key tasks: Set clear objectives, managing communications through newsletters & WhatsApp groups, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring productive meetings. |
| Treasurer | The Treasurer helps look after the PFC’s finances and works alongside the school’s Business Manager. It’s a steady, well-supported role that helps ensure events and fundraising are managed responsibly. Ideal if you’re comfortable with basic budgeting and like things to add up. Key tasks: Reporting on the PFC’s financial status at meetings, budgeting for events. |
| PFC Committee | |
| Secondhand Uniform Coordinator | A practical, hands-on role that directly supports families. You’ll help organise secondhand uniform sales and manage lost property, making school life easier and more affordable for everyone. Key tasks: Coordinating uniform collection and sales, communicating with families, and organising uniform stalls. Sort and return lost property. |
| Social Media Coordinator | A creative and tech-savvy role, the Social Media Coordinator is responsible for managing the PFC’s online presence via Facebook and Instagram. Key tasks: Creating and posting content on social media, promoting school events, and engaging with the community. |
Support and handover provided for all roles. We encourage you to submit your nomination for any of the above PFC roles via the EHPS Parents & Friends Club – 2026 form.
Not ready to take on a Committee role yet?
The more parents/carers who join in, the more we can share the load and continue running great events for our children and school community. We’d love your participation in any of the PFC events/activities planned for 2026:
- Easter Raffle (March)
- Mother’s Day Treat & Stall (May)
- School Disco (August)
- Father’s Day Treat & Stall (September)
- Parents-only Event (e.g. Trivia Night or Winery Tour)
We'd also love to hear your suggestions/ideas about events/activities that you'd be interested in helping facilitate.
We’ve created an online EHPS Parents & Friends Club – 2026 form (click button below) for you to let us know how you want to be involved, availability to attend the upcoming AGM and nominating for the PFC Committee for 2026-2027. We're looking forward to your response!
