Drama Students Inspired at OnSTAGE HSC Showcase

Year 10 and Year 11 drama students recently had the exciting opportunity to attend the OnSTAGE HSC Drama Showcase, an annual event celebrating the outstanding work of 2025 HSC Drama students from across NSW. The showcase offered an inspiring look at the creativity, talent and dedication demonstrated by senior drama performers.

Throughout the day, students experienced a dynamic range of performances, including group pieces, monologues, video drama projects and a staged script reading. Each work highlighted the performers’ strong grasp of theatrical techniques and their ability to bring complex ideas to life on stage.

The learning didn’t stop once the curtain closed. In the foyer, students explored an impressive display of design portfolios featuring costume concepts, set and lighting designs, promotional materials and critical analyses. These works revealed the depth of thought and detail that goes into creating a polished HSC project.

For our Year 10 and 11 students, the excursion was more than just a showcase—it was a source of genuine inspiration. Many left buzzing with ideas and a clearer understanding of what lies ahead as they begin preparing for their own HSC journeys. The experience has already sparked early concepts for future performances, setting the stage for exciting creative work in the years to come.
