Principal's Report

Welcome to our first 2026 newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
A warm welcome back to our current families as we continue our school journey together in 2026. We are also very pleased to welcome our new Kindergarten and Preschool families to our school community. We hope you have felt supported and included as your children began their learning adventure with us.
As always, our newsletters will be sent out in the middle and end of each term to keep you informed about important news, events, and achievements.
Teaching and Learning
Our school has 5 classes for Kindergarten to Year 2, and 2 preschool groups. Our teaching team are dedicated to supporting your child’s learning and growth. We also have exceptional School Learning Support Officers who work closely with teachers to provide extra help and support for students. Together, they create a positive and caring environment where every child can learn and succeed.
This year, we are focusing on further developing our intensive phonics and writing programs, along with explicit teaching of mathematics. We are also beginning to roll out new syllabus documents for Creative Arts, Science, HSIE (Human Society and Its Environment), and PDHPE (Personal Development, Health and Physical Education). These programs support a well-rounded education for all students.
School Website and Communication
Our new school website is now up and running. It provides up-to-date information about our school, events, and programs. We also use the School Bytes app to communicate important information with our parent community. Please download the app and enable alerts so you can receive instant messages from the school.
Parents are welcome to email teachers directly through their staff email address. Our teachers aim to respond quickly, usually within one to two days during school hours. If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher.
Photography and Video at School Events
To respect the privacy and safety of all students, we ask that families and visitors only take photos or videos of their own child during K-2 school events and assemblies. If you share photos publicly on social media or with others, please ensure that other students’ faces are blurred or obscured.
In Preschool, due to new regulations across the early childhood sector, parents and carers are requested not to take photos or videos of any child during school activities. However, during assemblies or presentations, the school will make arrangements so parents can take photos of their own child.
Thank you for supporting our commitment to a safe and respectful school environment for everyone.
School Uniforms
Students are required to wear full school uniform from Monday to Thursday. Wearing the uniform helps develop a sense of pride in our school community. Uniform items are available for purchase from the school office every day during school hours. Orders can also be placed online for your convenience.
School shoes should be as close to black as possible. Black runners are recommended for children who like to be active. Please keep all colourful tights, jackets, jumpers, and other non-uniform items for wearing on Fridays.
Fridays are mufti days, when students can wear casual clothes. This is part of our school wellbeing program and allows students to express themselves and feel comfortable at school.
