Across the school, students have been working on developing their problem solving skills by thinking and building in 2 Dimensions and 3 Dimensions. 

In Year 1/2 , the students viewed a range of 2D and 3D images and discussed how they could be constructed using planks. 

They explored how planks could be placed vertically and horizontally to create different shapes and structures.

In Year 3/4 , the students explored how 3D images can be represented in different ways. They explored how to make different buildings of different heights.

In Year 5/6 , the students explored how 3 Dimensional objects can be represented in 2 Dimensionally. 

Students looked at drawings which showed the top view, side view and front view of a 3D object and used this information to try and build what was being depicted.
