Leongatha Children's Centre Visit St Laurence

School Visits - Monday, 17 June and Tuesday, 18 June

On Monday, 17 June and Tuesday, 18 June the four year old kinder children from the Leongatha Children's Centre came to visit our school.

The children were greeted by our Grade 5 students and participated in an art class and a music class.  In art we made paper unicorn horns and decorated them with rhinestones and glitter and also did a drawing to take home. In music we used the boom whackers and tried to match the rhythm of the song "You Can Count On Me", it was so much fun!

The kinder children ate recess at school on the deck outside the Grade 1/2 classrooms and then had a play on the playground.

It was a well-rounded visit with engaging activities and an opportunity for the children to see what it's like at school, meet their future buddies, interact and enjoy different aspects of our school.  Thank you to Madame Gatehouse and Mr Whittle for organising these activities and also to the educators at the Leongatha Children's Centre for arranging this visit to St Laurence.
