Grade 5/6 Netball and Football Squads

On Monday the 17th of June I went with 14 other 5/6 girls and played footy at the Leongatha Velodrome. We played four games with 17 minute halves against Inverloch/Kongwak, Leongatha and Korumburra for two hours  straight. We had a three minute break in between each game and no subs. It was great that we won against Leongatha by two goals and everyone played an amazing game. Sadly, we lost against Inverloch/Kongwak and Korumburra. In the semi finals we put up a good show but lost again to Inverloch/Kongwak.  In our team we had some players who have never played but they had a lot of courage, tried their best and all players continued on. Even when they were injured they pushed through!!

On Monday the 17th of June the 5/6 boys played netball against Loch, Leongatha, St Josephs, Korumburra and Inverloch. It was a great day, we won two games, one against Loch and the other against St Joseph's. Everyone tried their hardest and played in positions they have never played in. We had a good game against Korumburra and only lost by 2 points!! We had a really tough games against Leongatha and Inverloch. Considering some of the Leongatha and Inverloch players have played before we put up a good fight and just kept trying all day. It was an exciting day for everyone and we all enjoyed it.
