Principal's Report
It is hard to believe we have hit the half time break of the year! As we complete term 2 today it has been great to reflect on a fantastic semester of learning and participation. The end of term Mass was a wonderful celebration of the term and it was wonderful to see so many families in attendance. The church was overflowing and we certainly had great pride in the community and the efforts of all involved. A short assembly highlighting the Catherine McAuley awards for each grade, gave special recognition to children across the school who have made outstanding contributions to the school this year.
Last night all children received their reports for semester 1. Early next term, Monday 22nd July and Wednesday 24th July, the staff will conduct Learning Conversations with all families, so they get the opportunity to discuss each student’s learning for Semester 1 and to set new learning goals for the remainder of the year. Bookings for these important conversations will open during the holiday break.
Finally as was announced last week, I am moving to St Monicas for term 3 as the Acting Principal and Jo Thurley will be moving into the principal's chair during this time. I look forward to new challenges ahead for the term and thank Jo for her willingness to fill the role during my absence. To everyone, thank you for your best wishes and I trust families will have a warm restful holiday in readiness for the second half and another busy term
