Sport

It’s been another busy fortnight in PE, here are some of the highlights.

Eastern Metropolitan Regional Cross Country

Last week, 10 of our Level 3-6 students competed in the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Cross Country on a very slippery Yarra Glen Racecourse track. These students had previously finished in the top 12 of their age group at the Whitehorse Division Cross Country in May. We are incredibly proud of their achievement in reaching this high level of competition and are extremely impressed with the dedication and effort they demonstrated on the day. Thank you again also to our fantastic families for their support and Clint for organsing the training sessions in the lead up to the event.

Congratulations to the following students who finished in the top 12 out of 80 competitors from over 400 schools, advancing to the Victorian State Cross Country at Yarra Glen in Term 3. This marks our largest State team ever! Go Rangeview!

Under 11 Boys, 3km: Riyon R (7th) 12.09min

Under 11 Girls, 3km: Collette C (4th) 13.00min

Under 12 Boys, 3km: Will (9th) 11.35min, Jared (10th) 11.35min

Level 5/6 Winter Inter-School Sports

Our over 200 Level 5/6 students had a fantastic time during the first day of inter-school sports last Friday. More than 20 Rangeview teams proudly represented the school, showcasing their determination, teamwork, humility, and sportsmanship while having so much fun. Competing in four different sports, our teams achieved terrific results, with many advancing to today's finals to determine if they progress to the District final next term. Thank you to all the staff and families that make these days possible. Good luck, and go Rangeview!

Golf Clinics

Our Level 1-6 students had a fantastic time exploring the wonderful world of golf in this week's PE sessions. They participated in activities designed to build their driving, putting, and chipping skills while also engaging in teamwork-based games along the way!
