What a busy term it has been in the library!

Earlier this term, Early Stage 1 and Stage 1 took part in National Simultaneous Storytime. This year’s text was Bowerbird Blues. Students were involved in lots of discussions and learning around bowerbirds with Stage One completing some lovely directed sketches of bowerbirds. 

Stage 2 has enjoyed reading and viewing texts surrounding the migration of different animals. They then conducted some of their own research on a given animal’s migratory journey and presented them in poster or brochure format. 

Stage 3 classes spent a lot of the term working in small groups to investigate the contributions made to Australian Society by different cultural groups. These groups then organised their information into slides and presented their findings.

The final two weeks of term see all students involved in exploring different first nations texts as part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations.
