Learner Profile

Kambrya College has developed the Learner Profile in response to the ever-growing need for students to understand their own learning data. This helps them best understand their progress and make the next best steps in their learning journey. The Learner Profile data is extracted from Compass to provide insights into student progress and achievement over time. We are pleased to announce that this is now available to all students and parents to view via the student's compass account (it cannot be accessed via the parents Compass account). What Data Can I Access?

The Learner Profile provides data on many indicators to help understand student progress holistically. You can access a range of data including:

• Attendance: Track attendance over time and during specific periods, including reasons for being out of class (e.g., going to the toilet or locker).
• Learning, Attitude, and Behaviour (LAB) Data: Monitor LAB data for each subject over time.
• Victorian Curriculum Achievement and Progress: Review achievement and progress in every strand, such as meeting or exceeding Year 8 reading standards.
• NAPLAN Data: Access Year 7 and Year 9 NAPLAN results.
• Progressive Achievement Test Results: See how your child performed in standardised literacy and numeracy assessments each semester.
• Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) Data: Track student results and progress towards achieving the VCE certificate.

How do I access the Learner Profile?

To access your child’s progress, including the entire semester’s reporting data, simply log in to the students Compass account and go to: Compass > Star > Learner Profile.

What are the aims of the Learner Profile?

• Holistic Data Compilation: The Learner Profile consolidates Compass data alongside information from various sources accumulated over many years, to provide a comprehensive view of every student’s progress at Kambrya.
• Enhanced Understanding of Learning Progress: The Learner Profile aims to equip teachers, parents, support staff, learning mentors, and coordinators with invaluable insights to help students take the next best step in their learning.
• Student-Centred Approach: At its core, the Learner Profile focuses on the student experience, presenting information in a user-friendly manner to help students engage with their learning data.
