Dear Families and Friends,
What a fantastic term we've had! I thank all students, parents and staff for their work and their support. We are one very lucky community to have such dedicated staff who are so committed to assisting students grow and achieve!
Over the last few weeks of Term Two we had some exciting learning opportunities and events. From the new playground, to success in inter-school sports and cross country, to our new chickens laying many eggs, St Anthony's Day celebrations and our 3 Way conversations for students, parents and teachers.
St Anthony's Sketchnote
After much consultation with students, parents and staff I am proud to present and share our new sketchnote that represents all things St Anthony's. The images have been created by students and all digitally put together using a digital platform.
You'll notice that our mantra of "Every person flourishing and known", we work on forming lives to enrich the world, aligning our work with the MACS (Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools) 2030 vision.
St Anthony's Feast Day
On Thursday 13th June we started our St Anthony's Feast Day celebrations with a whole school Mass. It was a beautiful Mass with our Year 3/4 Leaders taking part in the prayers and readings.
On Friday 14th June we celebrated through participating in many fun activities. A big thank you to Miss Webb and her team of school leaders who organised and ran the day. Later in the newsletter you will find a photo page filled with happy smiles!
Carpark and Road Safety
We have had a few reports recently from our school crossing supervisors as well as the community, advising us that that people are turning the wrong way whilst leaving the school carpark on Buckley Street and that students are often not using the designated crossings and running across roads, which is a safety concern.
It is extremely important for the safety of all that children and parents listen to and follow the instructions given by the crossing supervisor. Crossing Supervisors are provided by the City of Greater Dandenong Council for the safety of all concerned, they are trained following the guidelines as laid out in “Instructions for Children’s Crossing Supervisors” and deserve respect.
The safety of our students is everyone’s responsibility please take care whilst driving near our school.

When dropping children off in the morning please either use the kiss and drop on Alfred St or park your car in the church carpark. We remind families not to allow children to exit cars unless parked in the carpark.
Thank you for working in partnership with us, safety is everyone's responsibility.
Have a safe and restful school holidays. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday 15th July.
