Farmer Darryl Visit

On 17th August, Farmer Darryl visited our Foundation students. It was a beautiful sunny day. Our students dressed up for the occasion and had a great time patting, brushing and feeding the farm animals. A great day was had by all.

Years 3 and 4

Last term, Years 3-4 students dove into the fascinating world of forces in motion as part of their Inquiry topic. Working in mixed groups, the students were tasked with demonstrating various forces, including friction and gravity, using a range of materials such as dominoes, ramps and balls.

The collaborative nature of the activity allowed students to engage in thoughtful discussions and creative planning as they explored how different objects interact with forces. Through teamwork and hands-on experimentation, each group successfully demonstrated their understanding of how these fundamental forces work in everyday situations.

It was a fantastic opportunity for students to strengthen their critical thinking and problem solving skills while having fun with science!

This term, our students are diving into two exciting books as part of their novel study. Year 3 students are exploring the magical world of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis and the Year 4 students are reading The Wild Robot by Peter Brown.

In Mathematics, Year 3 students have been learning about multiplication and division and the Year 4 students have been working with data.
