Scholastic Book Club

Our second last issue of Scholastic BookClub is out now and due back today. Here is a link to the catalogue. Issue 7 is offering three free books and has some fantastic Christmas present ideas.

Library Lessons Term 4

This term our students are investigating themes. The Foundation classes are looking at stories about emotions. This week they will read about and create their own emotions toolkit.

Years 1 and 2 students are using the CES theme ‘Behold I make all things new’ to look at stories which make us look at life with fresh eyes. The Year 3 students are comparing pairs of stories on a topic such as AFL or bicycles, while Year 4 students are creating fractured fairytales. The Years 5 and 6 students are looking at a story called ‘Worse things’ and reading about how three characters deal with setbacks in life.

Our overdue books need to find their way back to school.

As we start the beginning of Term 4 we are asking for help finding any books which may now be quite overdue and hoping that the holidays allowed for time to hunt for them. There are now many overdue books (221) which have been borrowed during the year that need to find their way back to the Library.

We would really appreciate your help finding any books from the Library and assisting your children to return them to us as soon as possible.

We are looking forward to a great Term 4!
