Specialists Wonga Weekly
Week 10, Term 3
Due to planning week, only some students will complete a STEM class.
Grade 1 and 2 will be learning how water interacts with different geological features and then testing this knowledge through a hands-on activity.
Grade 3 and 4 will race their vehicles.
Grade 5 and 6 will be completing and setting up their models to display in different parts of the school and presenting them to students.
All Levels
Due to a modified planning week timetable, not all classes will receive Physical Education. Those classes which do will participate in games and activities which revise the key skills, movements and sports taught throughout the term.
This week a portion of every lesson will be dedicated to creating a collaborative artwork to auction at the upcoming ‘Springtime Soiree’ in Term 4.
*Could all students who haven't collected their Book Week Diorama please do so by the end of term.
Prep
Students will be completing their 3D caterpillar and paint a symmetrical butterfly. We will put their caterpillar inside their chrysalis and hang them in the Prep classrooms. I wonder if they will magically change into a butterfly before the end of term!?!?
Grade 1 and 2
Students will be continuing to make the ‘warp’ of their loom, ready to weave yarn through following the over and under pattern.
Grade 3 and 4
Students will finish creating a dog kennel for their clay dog using recycled materials. They will also add a collar to their clay dog ready to take home.
Grade 5
Students will be designing their buddy bear to gift to their new Prep buddy next term.
Grade 6
Students will be designing their clay tile that will be their legacy artwork to be mounted on the brick wall around the Prep building.
