Year 11 Food Studies - Design Brief

Year 11 students responded to a design brief to create a healthy version of a popular fast food to sell in a food truck at a local farmers market. The purpose of the task was for students to demonstrate how being a food citizen - someone who makes informed choices about how the food they purchase is grown and sold - can promote food sovereignty for producers. Food sovereignty allows food producers to take control of the types of food they grow and how they grow them, rather than being constrained by large corporations that dictate growing, purchasing and selling practices.
