Italian - Excursion to Monash University
This semester our Italian Team collaborated with Monash University to organize an excursion to learn about the benefits of continuing with the study of Italian. This was part of an Educational Language Project run by Monash University.
Senior Italian students travelled by train to the Monash University Clayton Campus on Tuesday 27th August and completed a tour of the facilities which included the Student Services area, languages buildings and the Library. Next students played a fun and engaging European Languages trivia led by Ella, a Monash student studying Italian and an intern in the Languages Department. Ella also was able to answer questions from students about how to prepare best for the upcoming oral exam.
Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and found it interesting that “Ancora Imparo” (I am still learning) by Leonardo Da Vinci is the motto of Monash University and featured on the street sign as we arrived.
