Prime Ministers Olympic Dinner

On Saturday June 29th the Prime Minister, Anthony Albonese, hosted over 800 guests and Olympic flag bearers for the Prime Ministers Olympic Dinner. The Dinner is the Australian Olympic Committee’s signature fundraising event. It brings together the corporate and sporting worlds to raise funds that facilitate state-of-the-art training and recovery facilities, additional medical staff, including doctors, physios, and sports scientists, on-site catering facilities and nutritional experts. These critical resources aim to optimize our teams' performance on the grand stage, ensuring they have the edge they need to excel In Paris and beyond.

Maribyrnong College was represented at the event, with 50 student-athletes forming a guard of honour for guests and dignitaries. These included Prime Minister Anthony Albonese, Dylan Alcott, Giaan Rooney, Anna Meares, Patty Mills, Lauren Jackson, Sally Pearson, Dawn Fraser, Cate Campbell, and Eddie Maguire. Our students loved rubbing shoulders with and talking with so many Olympic legends.
