Eeishu Mithun Named Finalist for the 2024 Young Innovator Award
Huge congratulations to Eeishu Mithun (Year 7) who has been selected as a finalist for the 2024 Next Gen Award’s Young Innovator of the Year!
The youngest finalist across all categories, Eeishu’s development of 'The EXTRA automated garage door' was inspired by watching her parents struggle with keys. The intention behind the design is to make life easier for everyone, especially the elderly and physically challenged. Eeishu created a system that uses number plate recognition, smartphones and voice assistants to open garage doors automatically, removing the need for manual intervention.
We are very proud of Eeishu, the recipient of our Innovator and Entrepreneurship Scholarship for 2023, and thrilled to see this well-deserved recognition!
