Students from Years 7 and 8 recently spent the day playing Interschool Sport. We had teams representing Mount Beauty SC in Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball and Tag Rugby.

It was great to hear that the Ultimate Frisbee team had lots of fun, kept their spirits high and maintained their positive energy. They developed confidence, and worked together more effectively as the day went on. Highlights include having Harris as their sport leader, eating lots of food afterwards AND the 2-2 draw.

The Tag Rugby team joined forces with Corryong SC to play to the best of their ability, highlighting some fantastic individual talent. As a newly formed team, the chemistry wasn't there to pull off any wins. It was still a good day out.

Evelyn attended the Interschool sport day as a leader, and came home with a medal around her neck. With all the schools back together again, it seemed like a good way to send the Ovens and Mitta Athletics Championship age group medals home to the recipients, but Evelyn was able to receive hers in person. Congratulations on your age group first place medal!

Then it was the Year 9 and 10s turn to show their prowess in a range of sports. We had teams competing in Table Tennis, Basketball and Tag Rugby.

Every player on the Tag Rugby team scored at least one try. This contributed to a couple of wins, a couple of draws and a few losses. The team represented the school well and demonstrated awesome skill development.

The Table Tennis team enjoyed the rivalry with other schools, and had lots of fun.
