Year 3

We have made it to the end of Term 3! Once again all the students have had a wonderful term of learning and we would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very fun filled and relaxing break.

Inquiry

All the hard work paid off this week, when the students were finally able to test their rubber band powered cars against others from the grade. Through this unit, it has been wonderful to see the students create their designs and problem solve to overcome the various challenges they faced when it came to getting them moving efficiently. Awesome job Year 3 making them and carrying out your investigations and reflections of how your team performed.

Numeracy Week

Last week all students took part in a special Numeracy Week activity. Grade 3's had to face the escape room challenge! It was certainly quite tricky and took teamwork and thinking outside of the box to escape. A huge thankyou to Mr Wastie for organising this fun incursion.

Market Day

On Thursday we were able to visit the Grade 5 market in the stadium. There was a wide variety of games, food, drinks and crafts for the students to purchase. A great time was had by all and a huge thankyou to the Grade 5 students and teachers for putting on such a tasty event!

Hats in Term 4

As we head into Term 4 a reminder that students will require hats for recess and lunch playtimes. If a student does not have a hat for these times then they must stay in the many sheltered areas that we have around school.

Year 4

Inquiry

This term the Year Four students have been learning about the Human Body. In the last two weeks all the students have been working towards their mini project around their chosen system.

Next term within Inquiry, the students are looking forward to learning more about the Great Barrier Reef.

Numeracy Week

Numeracy Week started with students dressing up with numbers on them.

Year Four classes looked at Mrs Mann's shoes, shoe boxes and the amount on her wish list. Mr Dahlenburg organised a fun Math Scavenger Hunt, where groups of students solved various Math equations in the Year Four classrooms and solve a riddle in the end.

Year Four students have also been busy making 3D mini Golf Courses using their knowledge of Area and Perimeter.
