Wow, we can't believe that Term 3 holidays are here! We have had a busy term in Level 2 and we are so proud of all their achievements! We have had a busy few weeks with Maths Week last week, Maths Shows, Market Day and Footy Finals Fever Day! Just a friendly reminder that Term 4 is a SunSmart Term, which means that each child will need to bring a named, school hat for playtimes. We hope that you have a lovely, restful break and we look forward to seeing you in Term 4!

Last Tuesday, the Grade 1 and 2 students attended an interactive and fun Maths Show. Students learnt all about famous Mathematicians and participated in some activites.
On Monday 16th September, the Grade 2 students ventured onto a bus and had a fun day at Scienceworks. We learnt all about forces and we were fortunate enough to visit Air Playground. It was a jam packed, fun filled day with lots of learning. The students were very well behaved. Thank you to our Parent Helpers.
Next term, children in Foundation, Grade One and Grade Two will be attending five “Footsteps” dance classes for 45 minutes to an hour on Wednesdays from Week 3 onwards.
The course is part of the school dance curriculum and is designed to provide students with an insight into traditional forms of dance, whilst also developing their social skills, confidence and physical fitness. The starting point for dance learning is ‘everyday movements’. Students learn about dancing safely and become aware of their bodies’ movement capabilities. They explore movement possibilities using space, time, dynamics and relationships.
The total program cost is $20 for all five sessions (no part payments available). Please complete payment on Compass by 17th October.
As part of our Inquiry topic next term, Grade 1 students will be making dioramas of The Water Cycle. We will be needing one shoe box per student, so if you have any shoe boxes at home that you wish to donate, please send them in! Thank you very much.
