Rock 'n' Soup Night

Our Rock n Soup Nights were fabulous!!  Thank you to everyone who came along.  It was great for the teachers to get to chat with you all and the parents to meet and chat with other parents.

The Soup the children made was absolutely delicious.  It was great to see the children and the parents all thoroughly enjoying it.  Even though we are now in Spring our Melbourne weather didn't disappoint and made sure that it was wintery enough to enjoy the delicious soup!

Our yard is certainly going to be looking extra colourful and inviting with all our new painted rocks.

4 YO's Bee Incursion - Part 1

Both of the 4 YO groups have been very lucky to enjoy a visit from Holly, who brought along some of her incredible bees to show the children.  We discussed the life cycle of a bee and why bees are so incredibly important to the ecosystem.  The children were able to listen to the bees buzzing in their hive, try on the bee keeper clothing and taste some delicious honey.

Next Term Holly will return for a follow up activity where the children will explore bees wax and how we can use it.  Each of the children will get to make a candle and a food wrap from beeswax.

Transition Statements

Term 4 is a big term for our 4 YO's preparing to head off to school!!  There will be transition sessions for children at which ever school your child will be attending.  These are an important part of the process and really help children feel more comfortable the following year.  I encourage all families to take up the Transition Sessions at your child's school.

The Kindergarten Teachers will also assist in this transition process by writing a detailed report for your child's school, explaining your child's learning style, friendships, developmental stages, their interests and any other important details the school might need to know to ensure a smooth transition.  The Transition Statements will be completed on the Insight Platform.  A link will be sent home later in Term 4 for families to access a portion of the Statements to complete.  Once all sections are completed, the document will be forwarded to your child's school via the platform.

If you haven't already, please let your child's teacher know what school your child will be attending in 2025.  If you do not wish for a Transition Statement to be completed for your child please email your child's teacher.

Footy Day

The children have all enjoyed celebrating footy or their favourite sport this week.  They have had a kick of the footy outside and played some indoor footy too.

They have especially loved sharing a special bit of lunch together with either a hotdog, pie, sausage roll or vegetarian pastie.

Footy season is a lot of fun, and with the Grand final approaching we hope the team you want to win comes through for you.
