Principal's Views

Dear EVPS Families,

Our Celebration of Learning event on Tuesday afternoon saw many parents come along to spend time in the classroom, celebrating the amazing learning of all of our students. Students showcased their understanding of ‘Community’ and other learning in a variety of ways, including narrative performances, political speeches games, goal setting and reflection, and much more. We hope you enjoyed this opportunity to celebrate  your child’s learning from Term 1.

Our school photos this week were a great success and our new photographers loved our school and gave very positive feedback. Your child came home with a flyer with a unique image code to access their photos online. We hope you enjoy customising your own package.

If your child was absent on our photo day, they will have an opportunity to have their portrait taken on Thursday 1st May. If you have any questions about ordering, please call  the customer service team on 03 5243 4390

Yesterday we celebrated the end of term assembly and we were treated to performances from the Performing Arts Program. These performance assemblies are our favourite ones! We also awarded 117 students with 100% attendance in Term 1 and congratulated the top 3 classes too -  PCM, 4ST and 5JM. We are improving our school attendance percentage and are aiming to keep it above 90% - it is currently sitting at 89.63%.

Our other exciting awards included our High Ability Students and our Principal Awards for outstanding commitment to learning and our school values. The drawing of the Easter Raffle was also a highlight and we congratulate all of the winners. Thank you for your contributions to this fundraiser.
